#22 Jacki Waldner

Jacki is married, a mom to three kiddos, and self-employed. She grew up on horseback, with little football exposure, but her love for trying new things, challenging herself to improve every day, and her knack for learning quickly has made her an irreplaceable teammate and athlete on the team. She is now in her third season and spent the off-season dedicated to training and preparing for this football season. She poured her off-season training into faster footwork, speed off and on the ball, and securing the ball on catches.

This past season, she challenged even the best receivers the other teams lined up against her. Jacki was the starting defensive Cornerback and played Special Teams last season.  She earned herself the nickname Jacksplat the Deflector because she led the Division in Pass Deflections – 5 deflections in four games.  She also had an interception, and finished in the Top 25 in our Division for tackles (with 9 tackles as cornerback in four games – not common as a cornerback). Even though an off-season shoulder injury has Jacki on the sidelines this season, Jacki continues to be a respected player with a consistently positive attitude, a knack for encouraging teammates, and a steadiness and reliability at Cornerback.  We’re proud to call her our teammate. Thanks for all you do, Jacki! And thanks for sticking with us!
