#5 Tina Fokken

Tina was born in California, grew up in Clear Lake, SD, and currently resides in Revillo, SD with her husband (Michael) and four kids (Ava 13, Bentley 12, Erich 10, and Noah 3). She played sports in high school and enjoys watching football with her family, particularly watching her boys on the field. Tina has even taken to the sidelines of her boys’ football team this past season to help coach their youth football. She wants to be part of women empowerment, showing women they can do anything men can do.

Tina is a determined player with a low shoulder and a “coming at ya” attitude, making her a feared running back by opposing linebackers and earning the commonly stated huddle encouragement on our bread and butter plays – Truck ‘em Tina!

Tina Fokken finished her second season with the Snow Leopards, splitting time at running back and offering her admirable I’ll do anything, do it hard, and do it well attitude to the team defense as well.  She is headed into her third year on the team. Her intentionality to build off of the knowledge, skills, and tenacity of her first two seasons and her off-season and pre-season training continues to pay off.

Last season: Offensively, Tina finished the season #9 in our WFA Division for rushing with 79 total yards in 34 carries in 4 games (averaging 2.3 yards per carrying) with a season long run play of 10 yards…and punching in one touchdown and one two-point conversion. Defensively, even coming in mid-season as a relief linebacker, she picked off the ball twice for a season total of 2 interceptions.

We’re glad she’s our teammate. Proud to have back, Tina!
