Position Assistant Coach Aj Stabe

AJ was born and raised in Akron, IA but currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD working for the State of South Dakota, and is married to her wife Tommy. AJ grew up playing football with her older brothers and the neighborhood kids and even then had a reputation as a reliable pass catcher. In high school, she played volleyball and fast pitch softball. In college, she was recruited by the University of South Dakota Women’s rugby team and those three years have solidified her love for football. She was eager to join the Sioux Falls Snow Leopards to get back into competitive sports and loves the fact that in football everyone has a role to play and teammates must rely on each other to win.

She has shifted from a Snow Leopard player to an H-back/Y Assistant Coach for the Sioux Fall Snow Leopards. As a rookie AJ made waves in her first year with the Snow Leopards. Her versatility and teachable attitude quickly earned her offensive positions as a reliable H-Back blocker and pass catcher offensively and Outside Linebacker defensively.

Defensively, AJ finished the season #4 on our team and #13 in WFA Division 4 for tackles with a season total of 21, including 4 tackles for a loss and 1 QB sack. She also grabbed two interceptions and had one pass deflection. Her defensive play and reliability earned her the nickname “The Boom” and the end-of-season “Most Improved Player” award.

AJ has been a quick learner, a solid competitor, and a respected teammate and encourager. We’re proud to call her our teammate and now coach. Thanks for a memorable Rookie year, AJ – glad to have you on the coaching staff!
