Rookie, Erika De Leon was born in Wisconsin but claims Concord, California as “home”. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2020 and works as an account manager for a medical genetics company. She is married (Tony) with three kids (Dominic, Violet, and Isla) and has 3 fur babies at home (Jade, Link, and Dexter). Erika grew up in a small town with few sports opportunities, but has played basketball since elementary. Most notably, however, she spent 5 years in competitive Crossfit (and landing on the podium at every competition!) prior to their move to South Dakota. You can still find her in the gym daily, though she is now training for and with the Sioux Falls Snow Leopards. Erika is big on challenging herself and being a good role model for her daughter and all current and future women. She’ll get significant time at the Center position offensively and Linebacker position defensively for the Sioux Falls Snow Leopards. She’s eager to be the nightmare matchup opponents are afraid of and she’s committed to help bring a championship to Sioux Falls! Her driven nature, attention to detail, and determination will make her irreplaceable this season! Welcome to the team, Erika – we’re pumped to have you in the mix! #TogetherWeRise
