Emma Archer was born in Massachusetts, but moved to Sioux Falls at a very early age and calls Sioux Falls her home. She works here as a nurse at Sanford Hospital and lives with her boyfriend, two hyper border collies, one rabbit, and six chickens. She didn’t consider herself a “sporty” kid in highschool, but lived for outdoor adventures – running outdoors, hiking, and lifting weights. She was also in high school marching band, and though it is sometimes debated as a sport, one thing is for certain – marching band made her work her butt off for several months of the year!
She has teamed up with the Snow Leopards in 2024 to devote herself to something bigger than herself, to give herself a deeper purpose for exercise, to learn new skills, and to meet strong, incredible women. In her rookie season, Emma saw field time at Linebacker, Strong Safety, Tight End, and Special Teams. This season, Emma will likely increase her utility player reach adding offensive line and strong safety to her résumé’. Though quiet, she is a zealous person and player and her competitive nature, strength, and eagerness to help the team however she can is invaluable. Welcome back, Emma – we’re pumped you’re back for more! #TogetherWeRise #ALLIN
