Rookie, Erika De Leon was born in Wisconsin but claims Concord, California as “home”. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2020 and works as an account manager for a medical genetics company. She is married (Tony) with three kids (Dominic, Violet, and Isla). Erika has played basketball since elementary, and she spent 5 recent years in competitive Crossfit (landing on the podium at every competition)! You will find her in the gym daily, and she’s an incredible model of hard work and dedication, appropriately landing her the nickname “Iron Horse”. Erika is big on challenging herself and being a positive role model for her daughter…and all women.
In 2023, her rookie season, she landed a starting outside Linebacker position, finishing the season #8 on the team for tackles. In 2024, Erika added Running Back to her resume and finished the season #5 on the team in rushing and #6 in tackles. This season she will take the field again at Running Back and also as Strong Safety on defense. Erika’s driven nature, attention to detail, and determination makes her an irreplaceable presence and force to be reckoned with. We’re proud to call her our teammate.
